I love movies with surprise endings or a great twist. The ones that make your jaw drop a little in shock. What are your favorite surprises? Without giving away the surprise, here are a few of mine...if you haven't seen them, they are worth a watch:
No Way Out with Kevin Costner...total shocker, great 80s intrigue!

Arlington Road with Jeff Bridges and Tim Robbins...I lost sleep over this one.

The Usual Suspects with Gabriel Byrne and Kevin Spacey...Who is Keyser Soze? say no more.

The Sixth Sense with Bruce Willis...Didn't see it coming!

Psycho (the original) with Anthony Perkins...Okay, I did see this coming because everyone knows the story, but Norman was too creepy in a sweet way.

- Fargo. I absolutely love this film. Many shockers and plot twists. I was very surprised at moments.
- Juno. I didn't think the movie would have any shock to the plot however it did; and the ending was perfect yet unexpected.
- Shattered Glass. Hayden Christian played the role perfectly and even though I already knew the story, to see it played out made the twists in the story very memorable.
- The Falcon and The Snowman. Very interesting film.
... Probably a few other movies that I've seen that shocked me however I cannot recall them at the moment.
1i loved fargo--suspenseful and comical. i usually love all the coen brothers movies. i will have to check out shattered glass.
2I love an unexpected ending, great choices.
Ususal Suspects is an awesome film, as is Fargo.
I think I would like to add Fight Club to the list, Tyler Durden...Who knew?!
And in its day, the end of Planet of the Apes freaked a few people out, but it may be in the category with Norman Bates, where everyone knows now.
Juno? Really?

yes, fight club...another excellent choice. speaking of ed norton movies i meant to put on but left off primal fear. did see that one coming either!
4ooh, and i would like to watch planet of the apes again...the one from the late 60s. good call:)
5OMG! For sure! Primal Fear gave me the heebeejeebees!

6"I'm pretty sure she's baked on a professional level."
This isn't a stunning ending or anything but when I watched American History X I just KNEW Edward Norton was going to get killed in the end instead of his brother! It really shocked me at how he was shot so brutally in the school bathroom....
7An American Haunting
8Se7en
Unbreakable
Memento-Awesome film
Identity- I didn't see it coming at all
The Descent- (the european ending)I saw this version first and then saw the American one and was slightly disappointed b/c I liked the finality of the european version! Now they are making a second one based off of the American version.(how i saw the european version living in the US first still perplexes me)
ms a: american history x-brutal and another film i lost sleep over. seven-excellent choice-i believe i actually checked my closets for kevin spacey. ooooh, identity was good too. i didn't care for the descent. i guess i need to check out the european ending. memento and unbreakable i need to see again. an american haunting had a good ending! great choices:)
9The Empire Strikes Back, Se7en, Fight Club, The Usual Suspects, Memento...I can't think of any others.
10Oh yeah, there was also Lucky Number Slevin, What Lies Beneath, Matchstick Men, The Prestige, Atonement, and Donnie Darko (most confusing movie ever!).
I was also shocked by the endings to Casablanca and My Best Friend's Wedding. If you hadn't seen spoilers to these movies, then you would think Rick & Ilsa would get on the plane together in Casablanca, and that Michael would marry Julianne in My Best Friend's Wedding.
