Heath. While I haven't seen The Dark Knight yet I have seen the one w/ Jack; and as much as I like Nicholson, he just didn't seem to suit the role (at least for me.) I can pretty much tell that Heath is THE Joker; the chilling and emotional character.

If they were to do another joker in the next batman movie Mark Hamill is the best choice.

nobody will ever be able to play the joker better than heath ledger. he fit the role perfectly and he was absoutely amazing in it. no one could do it as well as he did.

heath was amazing, but so was nicholson. love them both as the joker.

OMG!! How in the world do you compare these two? It's like two completely different types of acting. I can't explain it but.............I just can't explain it. The Dark Knight movie seemed way more serious than the Batman with Jack as the Joker. However, I will have to say that HEATH did the most awesomist of awesome performance in the Dark Knight. Batman is my favorite super hero so I so pay attention to these things! Heath (R.I.P.) rocked it!

I love jack nicholson so much but Heath absolutely rocks the movie. I cried at the end of the movie. He should win the oscar.
